Highlight Reel 2023.
What I have learned last year, is 'to let go'. To not hold on to things, expectations, wins or failures, but to be in the moment and to embrace life in it's fullest form.
So here it is, a compilation of my work from many years.
I want to also say thank you, to everyone who has supported me so far on this journey and been with me even when the sun wasn't shining. I know it's not a one man thing, but team effort and having family, friends, and co workers who I can trust means the world to me.
This showreel is last but not least a big thank you to my mentor @jackiechan , who has always believed in and supported me on my way and is one of the biggest reasons of why I'm still doing this today. Thank you big brother!

Kung Lao costume test! Huge shoutout to @cappi_ireland_costume_designer@cappiireland and her incredible team for absolutely crushing it with this design.
Not only does the costume look amazing on camera, but it’s also lightweight and allows me to move and perform freely — which is so important for the action. Thank you guys for all the hard work and detail you put into bringing Kung Lao to life! 🔥

Discipline, courage, and an unwavering sense of self-belief are just some of the qualities Max Huang has demonstrated throughout his journey. Raised in a classical music family in Germany, Huang discovered Shaolin kung fu at 14 before going on to win gold at the German Wushu National Championships and compete in Chinese kickboxing.
Inspired by icons like Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee, he chased a career in action films — even handing his showreel to Jaden Smith at the 2010 Karate Kid premiere in the hope it would reach Jackie Chan. After earning Chan’s trust, Huang officially joined the Jackie Chan Stunt Team, working on films including Chinese Zodiac, The Foreigner, and Bleeding Steel.
Determined to build a career beyond stunt work, Huang continued to develop as an actor and landed his breakthrough role in Mortal Kombat back in 2021. Now he has returned as Kung Lao in Mortal Kombat II, stepping back into one of the video game franchise’s most beloved roles.
In conversation with 1883 Magazine, Max Huang discusses Mortal Kombat II, his journey with the Jackie Chan Stunt Team, and martial arts.

I want to thank my teacher, my Shifu, my big brother Jackie Chan @jackiechan for teaching me all these years about how to make action movies. As stuntman, before I went through a lot of training and hardship. Falling, fighting, jumping for sometimes 20 hours on set. Luckily, the training paid off for my acting career. In Mortal Kombat 2 you can see my approach of combining acting with martial arts, so they merge into one. I hope you will like it!
Enjoy Mortal Kombat 2!
