FIBO 2026 ☑️
Not the biggest fan of conventions, but this one hit home differently. Was nice to see what’s going on in the industry and meet up with some great people. Did the hyrox after standing for two days straight eight hours a day. An experience I don’t want to repeat.
also, I managed to get a early morning run in and enjoy the spring weather a bit.
On to the next one!

I almost never enjoy the alarm.
But I really value what a morning run does for the rest of the day.
For runners, the benefit is not just discipline.
It is also physiology.
Why morning runs are worth it, ranked from most relevant to more lifestyle related:
1. They help anchor your circadian rhythm.
Morning light and movement help shift your cortisol curve earlier, so you often feel more alert during the day and more ready to wind down at night.
2. They wake up the nervous system early.
An easy run raises body temperature, heart rate, and alertness in a controlled way. Your system is online earlier instead of feeling sluggish for hours.
3. They get blood flow through the legs early.
If your legs feel heavy from training, easy running creates a muscle pump effect that helps circulation and reduces stiffness through the day.
4. They help clear that stale legs feeling.
After harder sessions, low intensity movement can help your body process training byproducts more efficiently, so your legs often feel better faster.
5. They make recovery more active.
A relaxed morning run means low intensity movement, steady breathing, and less time sitting still all day.
6. They improve consistency.
Before meetings, messages, and plans take over, the run is already done.
7. They build real mental durability.
Getting up when you want to stay in bed trains the ability to follow through without waiting for motivation.
8. They give you calm before input.
Before screens and noise, you already had movement, air, and light.
9. They make you more present later.
You often show up at work or in conversations clearer, steadier, and more awake.
10. They give you peace that lasts longer than the run.
The wake up is the painful part. The effect usually lasts for hours.
That is why morning running feels so contradictory:
the first 10 minutes can feel unnecessary,
but the next 10 hours often make sense because of it.
Save this for the mornings when the bed is winning.

Trial. Error. Adjust. Improve.
The last weeks felt like a mix of progress and setbacks — one step forward, two steps back… then finally two steps forward again.
Running-wise I’m staying consistent, but I’ve felt more fatigue than usual after interval runs. Probably because I haven’t moved much outside of training and skipped leg exercises work. Definitely need to adjust my setup.
Strength: My goal is to build more muscle and power. I’ve been tracking calories + weight daily, trying to eat enough, but hitting those numbers is harder than expected and my weight is not increasing. Still figuring out how to make it sustainable and effective.
Luckily the late-summer vibes keep me grounded and relaxed. Golden light, calm evenings, and sunsets that remind us to enjoy the journey.
If you’ve got tips on recovery, nutrition, or training smarter — I’d love to hear them.
