Behind the cover: during Max’s interview in Edition 4, we discussed a shared love for the delicate, intricate details often included in Renaissance paintings (e.g., the convex mirror in the background of the Arnolfini Portrait). For his cover, we decided that we wanted to do our own version. Max had gifted me a hoodie with the knight reading painted on it (slide 2), and I suggested that we have the knight reading a READzine with him on the cover, like some kind of READception. Max painted the image again onto a large sheet of paper, which I then scanned, and added the READ logo to. Now came the tricky part: importing the edited image onto the Photoshop file, then mapping it over the knight’s book and blending it so it looked natural. I then realised that the cover inside the cover was still blank (slide 3), so I had to repeat the whole process again! Lots of swearing was involved, but we got there in the end and the cover looks great. Thanks again to Max for being a great painter and dude ❤️
‘pinch me’ - airbrush and tipex on canvas. available for purchase 🤷♀️
the more i paint the less i realise i understand painting. lol. this series of Zooms is me exploring the primary colours and balancing shade, without the use of Black. shout out to the goats ❤️💛💙
“untitled zoom” - aircrush on old horse canvas.
maybe a new series of paintings… not sure yet... feels strange to post on the gram at the moment. we are all being made so acutely aware of such crazy madness. is a 1080x1080 square of sanctity all i can provide?
hopefully, plus a little more.
thanks xx
