When I was 12 years old and diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, my first question wasn’t “why me?”. It was, “can I still play hockey?”
Playing in the NHL was something I always dreamt of, following inmy dad’s footsteps. T1D didn’t change that dream. It just changed theway I had to prepare for it.
Diabetes is complex. Hockey is fast. Life moves quickly. The righttools matter. Omnipod 5 has helped simplify my day to day so I canfocus on the game and my team.
To every kid who gets diagnosed and wonders if their dream is still possible… it is. You’ve got this. I’m cheering for you.
