@maverickmode Emery Miles (b. 1999) is a composer of acoustic and electroacoustic music. Their interests in composition include set theory, use of extended technique, and textural composition. They received their Bachelor’s in Composition from Ball State University, where their music was performed by the Ball State New Music Ensemble and on the EM concert series for electronic music. Emery also recently received her Masters in Music Composition from the University of Louisville, during which time her composition "we are bound by rules we cannot see" was performed by Erin Rogers and Jay Sorce of Hypercube ensemble. She has also collaborated with Sybarite5 and Amorsima Trio. Emery’s hobbies include cooking, rollerblading, and piano improvisation.
