Some pix from @theblackbearlodge for the taste buds of your eyes. Enjoy the implied movement and noise constructed by this series of still images. To experience the 3D, noisy and dynamic version of these, make sure to catch us at our next show, sooner than you think... Taken by mad lad @darkpolar Thanks again @benjaminshannondrums and all of @kodiakempire for having us, and the slamming supports of @inconstanceband and @the_backlit

Kodiak Empire’s latest single The Essence begins a new era for the group, launching January 25th (Public Holiday Eve) at @theblackbearlodge . Teaming up with iconic Australian label, Bird’s Robe Records @birdsrobe , The Essence provides a preview from their forthcoming album, to be released mid 2026. Support from @inconstanceband @the_backlit and Maunder. Tickets in bio. Formed in 2013, the Brisbane five piece bring a distinct and refined approach to their particular brand of Progressive/Experimental Rock. The last decade has seen them release two EP’s and an album alongside countless performances with International and local luminaries in The Contortionist, Cog, Haken, Katatonia, Rosetta, Leprous, Closure in Moscow, June of 44, Caligula’s Horse, Delta Sleep and more. Kodiak Empire have carved their name in the progressive rock/experimental cannon through their unique approach to the genre. Through a distinctly Australian lens the quintet explores irregular structure and long form groove juxtaposed against melancholic vocals and minimalist soundscapes. Artwork: @mark_facey_
