Nothin’ But Bogeys table read was an absolute smashing success ⛳️
First time hearing the script performed aloud with this incredible cast, and they delivered huge laughs while completely bringing the world to life.
I thought I knew this script inside and out (having written it), but I was genuinely surprised and blown away by the performances, the timing, the choices, and the way the actors played to a live audience. The energy in the room was electric. Utterly joyful to experience.

I had the amazing pleasure of fabricating “Cybil” for @artifexfilm AND we just so happen to be in the @theutahfilmfestival , stoked! This character is a buff female almost “non binary”esc. Creature and @mattywebbbbb CRUSHED this role.like nothing I could have imagined!
This was the first foam latex piece I ever really felt like I was able to paint like skin. This is all thanks to @superkenfx who graciously gave me advice as I sent him progress photos! This was way back when I wasn’t confident with my foam painting. I am so excited to see this film !!!!

Aspen Raine: Breathing Life Into Legends
Aspen Raine, owner of Realms of Raine, is a rising star in the world of special effects makeup and prosthetics. As a studio owner, prosthetic and prop fabricator, and lead makeup artist at Nightmare on 13th, Aspen is quickly becoming an indispensable asset to the Utah filmmaking community. Their artistry has already made its mark on an incredible eight films showcased at this year’s Utah Film Festival, including ARTIFEX, cementing their reputation as an indispensable local talent.
When we needed a character concept for The Cumaean Sibyl, a mythical prophetess depicted by Michelangelo on the Sistine Chapel ceiling, we turned to Aspen. Exquisite prosthetic design captured the ethereal quality of Michelangelo’s vision while imbuing the character with new life, complementing Matt Webb’s mesmerizing performance. The Sibyl had stepped directly from Fresco to reality.
Aspen’s work on ARTIFEX didn’t just enhance the film, it brought its world to life in vivid detail. Their ability to blend technical precision with creativity has set a new standard for special effects in our community.
Whether designing for an ancient legend or a modern nightmare, Aspen’s artistry leaves a lasting impression, ensuring that every project they touch becomes unforgettable.
