Fragments from The Shadow Of Us, a short from a couple of winters ago.
Would say it was highly unusual, deliberately experimental shoot blending practical effects, in-camera techniques, and VFX into a single visual language. Made even better by building it alongside a talented, sharp, and generous crew who made the long days far more enjoyable.

A bit of yapping, but bear with me for a sec: I’ve been moving a little slower lately, spending more time with tactile work while keeping some distance from the constant stream and the pressure to maintain a version of ourselves online. This winter has been, without question, the most difficult for me mentally, and the small hiatus helped bring things back into focus, especially realizing how many of my recent endeavours had quietly become passive and how absent I’d felt from my own attention for a while. And now that the thaw is upon us, I’m returning to things with a steadier sense of intention and a little bit of hope and excitement for what’s to come. These are just some highlights from that time.
An old camera bag, a quiet find: an old exposed roll of discontinued Fuji Eterna 160T from two Septembers ago.
Took liberties, as one should, as it’s likely the last time I’ll ever see it or shoot with it.
