Matt and I have tons of original songs (and choice covers!) to share, and JT Trawick brings a real wealth of Ozark heritage to bear on his original songs, tunes, and stories. Lamar will support it all with his expert and versatile bass playing - a real treat.
This performance captures the warmth and spontaneity of a rural jam session, blending soulful Americana with a touch of Texan swing and a hint of bluegrass, Ozark mountain folk, and old-time traditions.
This coming Sunday 4/19 - 7pm - at the @royalroomseattle , the opening set will be our first Seattle performance as a duo, fresh off the heels of our visit to our original hometowns back East. Then we'll play with JT Trawick in his front-porch style show. Lamar Lofton will join us all on bass. Right now the Royal Room has us listed as 'JT's friends', which is fine and accurate. Know that we'll be there and we hope you'll be there too. And someday, you might see us billed under our middle names: 'Matt Will & Katie Jean'.

Sircely & Lichtenstein will perform at J+P's next Tuesday, March 31 at 7pm. We both grew up in the area — now we'll return as a duo 25 years after moving out West. Hope folks can make it, will be great to see everyone! The Sunday before, on 3/29, we'll play on WDVR 89.7fm in Sergeantsville, NJ — the Surround Sounds program at 6pm.

Friends organized this music series at the Union Block Bistro to help reinvigorate nightlife in downtown Mount Vernon; we'll be appearing in support of their efforts.
POWER OUTAGE! The show must go on…as the old adage goes… well that’s exactly what Kate Lichtenstein and Matt Sircely, as well as Asheville old timey trio Flatbridge, did last night. The show was set to start at 7:30pm and at 7:29:58pm (no kidding!) the power went out due to high winds. It turned into a very memorable, dimly lit evening with wonderful music. Thanks to 50 people who stuck it out 🙏🏽

In anticipation of Thursday's show (12/18) at the Rainshadow Recording Studio in Fort Worden, a radio DJ requested some music to play on air. Kate and I recorded a few songs into a single microphone, and demos of three songs are now available on my site's 'listen' page. I play electric guitar on this one... Kate and I will be in studio at the local radio station (KPTZ in PT) tomorrow during the 10am hour, we'll sing and play some songs for DJ Connie.
