The Technician from @matthewseffects is a soundscape machine. So many textures, washes, and bleeps and bloops. One of the funnest pedals I’ve played on a while.
Did you know?
You can record a loop, pitch it octave down, reverse it, record a new loop which then run forwards while the original audio stays in reverse, and then run the whole loop into the reverb and delay!

Pedalnerds, say hello 👋 to the @matthewseffects Cartographer MKII. It’s a parametric overdrive with an a/b switch that allows you to toggle between two EQ settings.
In the video, the red LED reflects the EQ settings on the top row. The blue LED indicates the EQ settings on the bottom row.
For the blue setting, you’ll see that I’ve exaggerated the EQ settings a little bit so you can get a sense of the how the switching works.
This is a super versatile pedal. Also, I hope my riff isn’t too annoying, I have a love-hate relationship with it.
Introducing the NEW Cartographer MkII from @matthewseffects ! This is an incredibly powerful EQ and overdrive that allows you to sculpt the exact frequency response you want, AND you have two footswitchable EQ’s!
Here I’m using it with my @fender Player II Modified Tele with @stringjoy 13-60 gauge strings tuned down to C standard, so I’m cutting out some of the woofy low mids and adding just a little grit.
