Matthews Hospitality served as developer and is co‑owner of CANVAS Hotel Dallas. An art‑centric boutique hotel born from the adaptive reuse of a historic industrial building in Dallas’s Cedars District. Designed to achieve LEED Gold status, the 76‑room hotel blends contemporary design with the building’s original character and features an indoor/outdoor rooftop lounge offering panoramic views of the Dallas skyline. CANVAS has become a creative hub that celebrates local art, community culture and world‑class hospitality.

Matthews is proud to support the P3C Conference —bringing together public officials and private industry to collaborate on alternative project delivery systems to more effectively design, build, finance, operate and maintain North America's essential infrastructure.
Matthews provided project management services for the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in Dallas, Texas, an entertainment destination at the Gateway into the South Side area. Featuring seven state‑of‑the‑art auditoriums, a pub‑style restaurant and bar, and an outdoor patio with views of the Dallas skyline, the cinema blends community heritage with exceptional cinematic experiences. Antique brick salvaged from historic buildings in the South Side was incorporated into both the interior and exterior, paying homage to the area’s rich history.
