I still haven’t been able to fully process the fact that we closed our show.
If tomorrow doesn’t come, I want it to be known- playing Carl has been one of/if not the highlight of my career to date. Getting to perform on stage with this cast day in and day out. The creative team. The crew. The band- my goodness, the band. What a script. What a score. The writers. The incredible choreography by the great @bettymweinberger . I could go on and on. I could also share an endless amount of photos (of which I will start doing via-stories), but for now…
Thank you, Carl. Thank you to my new friends. What a journey. I enjoyed. Every. Single. Moment. All my love to my people who were attached to this production. Happy Closing (or week after since it’s taken me this long to write about it) to all you beautifuls.
Until we see eachother again…
It’s an understatement to say how much of a blast it’s been working with these gorgeous humans on this beautiful, beast of a show, playing (what I quickly discovered) a dream role for me.

Day 2 of your 6th birthday. Woke up at 5am, the excitement from the fun-filled MAGICal day that was had and the upcoming day of festivities that awaited.
I could not be more proud to be your father, Hayes. Getting to watch you grow and learn and experience life the way in which you live it is simply magical. Until I knew you and your Mother, I didn’t know it was possible to feel this deeply. To love this hard. Happy Birthday, my beautiful boy!!!!!! My beautiful, Hayes. Hayes. Hayes. Hayes. Remember these days, my boy. Because your Mother and I will never forget them. They will live in us for eternity and I will think of them always. Never stop evolving into the incredibly kind and generous and thoughtful and loving and extremely talented and creative and artistic and extraordinary human being you have always been, are, and continue to become. My sweet boy. Daddy loves you. So much. So. So. Much. Happy Birthday, Hayes. Love, Papa.
And just like that…CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF comes to a close. I could write a novel about how wonderful it’s been. From the tip tip top to this moment right here. Big, fat thank youths all around to @chriscdenver , @grayzvander , and everyone attached to @denvercenter for making yet another beautiful production come to life.
I will miss Gooper. I will miss my Politt family and all their dysfunctional dynamic. I will miss the Mississippi, but I will revel in the memories of what we had and what we made.
Until we see each other again…
