what a wild & wonderful opportunity. there was a lot of learning, discovery & growth within unknown territory & mental stamina. i'm humbled by the process & my appreciation for the supportive notes & nudges from near & far throughout the journey is massive.
boston is a beast. from the numerous hills & deep downs & the 20C & sunny day feeling much warmer for us canucks training in the winter, i'm proud of how i paced & how i trusted myself to adjust my fueling game a bit on course. 'i'm so thirsty' was something i couldn't shake. it was hot but the most beautiful day.

it's an odd feeling when it's all done - a combo of tremendous gratitude yet this feeling of missing the process. my mind feels great & my body feels like i ran a marathon lol - time to recover, reflect & choose the next adventure. ///

a set of momentos with my fellow women in sport lately for no reason other than ive been thinking about this position i keep choosing & the fierce ones with the tenacious vibes that i get to spend time with while doing it all. ++ a little bit of national women & girls in sports day leftovers & eyes on team Canada & working for an incredible pwhl team both on the ice & behind the scenes.
from way back to my single digit days, sport has been a comforting constant, a connector & a companion. an escape & an evaluator. a tell all teacher & a self-belief preacher. sport has legit shaped me, strengthened me, softened me & some days (including this past year), saved me.
i've been working in professional sports for 15+ years in different avenues - in-game host, nba dancer, reporter, producer, game day director, emcee & the ebb & flow of the emotional backpack that women in sport carry has been just that - it's ebb'd and yup, it's flowed.
i'm grateful for the accomplished evolution of women in sport through this time - it's here, we're living in it. our words in conversations & on camera have left notable nudges. i love the word trailblazer.
& after a whole lot of personal revolution, i'm grateful for the moments in professional sport that have unnecessarily punched me really hard in the gut due to industry dynamics that were already set in place when i arrived. & to be honest, continue..
we're so still on our way to yay. the climb has been so dang brilliant. look at us grow. and i challenge us to have a moment with truth, too.
let's stay honest. let's stay committed. let's self check our boundaries & bravery. let's continue aiming top corner & slap shot the shit out of our goals & what we deserve. let's hold on to determination, not for notoriety but for collective collaboration. let's find our teammates & lean hard into mutual understanding. i love the word trailblazer. let's SPEAK. what are you doing it for?

took a deep, grateful breath of fresh air with @skyhelicopters on a sunny friday afternoon. s/o to Kaptain Kyle @wikkedtuna for manning the mission & being so awesome in our experience thousands of feet above reality. living in bc has emphasized our passion for what mama nature tells us is a blessing. wanna hug all of the trees & jump in all of the lakes. what a day a way up! @skyhelicopters

chopping off my hair feels like chopping off ‘25. (which feels fantastic!) i’ve done it a few times over the last couple of months & the shorter i go, the closer to ‘me’ i feel. i miss me. i work in an interesting industry where image is what sells, yet identity is what sustains us. & not sacrificing identity for image is both wisdom & rebellion. leaning into that this yr. out here zigging while the whole world zags. 🫶
