Matter in the Park 2025 with Cousin, Jorg Kuning ✹ 27th September | Athens EN | GR versions Matter team proudly presents the second edition of our outdoor event in the park! Following last year’s memorable day party, we prepared something even more exciting for summer-closing. We’re returning to our favourite spot, Cine Aliki at Pedion Areos, to create an intimate and inclusive environment. A vibrant day at the park, surrounded by nature, will add to an uplifting soundsystem experience. We put together a great lineup of local djs and live acts along with our special guests: Cousin @secondcousin_ closing his notable tour all the way from Australia and Jorg Kuning @jorg_kuning coming from UK to perform his incredible live set. The event is supported by @subspecies_net - a cultural non profit association dedicated to empower local teams to invigorate the cultural scene of Athens. Μετά την αξέχαστη περσινή φορά, ετοιμάσαμε κάτι ακόμα πιο συναρπαστικό για το κλείσιμο του καλοκαιριού. Επιστρέφουμε στο αγαπημένο μας σημείο, το Cine Aliki στο Πεδίο του Άρεως, για να δημιουργήσουμε ένα οικείο και φιλόξενο χώρο μέσα στη φύση, όπου όλοι μπορούν να απολαύσουν μια εμπειρία soundsystem με μοναδικά ηλεκτρονικά live και dj sets. To lineup περιλαμβάνει εγχώριους μουσικούς παραγωγούς και djs, που θα πλαισιώσουν τους ξεχωριστούς μας καλεσμένους: τον Cousin, που ολοκληρώνει την αξιοσημείωτη περιοδεία του ερχόμενος από την Αυστραλία, και τον Jorg Kuning, που έρχεται από το Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο για να παρουσιάσει το ιδιαίτερο live set του. Η εκδήλωση υποστηρίζεται από την Subspecies - μια πολιτιστική μη κερδοσκοπική οργάνωση που είναι αφιερωμένη στην ενδυνάμωση των τοπικών ομάδων για την αναζωογόνηση της πολιτιστικής σκηνής της Αθήνας. Στήριξη της εκδήλωσης με προαιρετική συνεισφορά 5€ στην είσοδο.

🎄Matter Xmas Edition 🎄 We’re closing out the year the only way we know how: with another edition of our iconic Xmas party. On Christmas night, 25th December, we return to ΙΛΙΟΝ plus gig space, putting its pumpy, bass-heavy soundsystem to full use and locking in a properly festive mood. We’ve curated a special lineup featuring some of our favourite local DJs for an intimate dancefloor experience. A long-time friend and constant source of inspiration, Runner, best known for his legendary “Shuffle” series, joins us for the first time to bring years of UK scene knowledge straight to the floor. The night is completed by our residents alongside some of our favourite guests, with two special back-to-back sets adding extra spice: Saber Rider b2b A.square and Pink.wav b2b Andreas Palmer. The first Matter club night of the season is here ⚡️ For this edition, we go for the first time at the Astron club @astronclub , inviting Rhyw. Hailing from Berlin and known globally as one half of the celebrated Fever AM label, @rhyw__ brings his signature sound of mutated, mind-bending techno to the floor. A special appearance by our favorite J biloba will be adding another essential layer to the night. Originally from Athens but currently rooted in Hamburg, @j_biloba is set to deliver a deep and compelling set. Matter residents SRJ and Andreas Palmer will take the opening and closing duties, crafting the journey from the hypnotic opening warm-up right through to the crushing closing finale. Expect a night full of mind-bending techno sounds, physical bass, and hypnotic undertones. Athens-based composer, producer, and performer Aliki Leftherioti, known as @saber._.rider , is celebrated for her innovative live sets. Her work explores plunderphonics and analog synthesis, creating intricate and captivating sonic textures. With a background in film and dance collaborations, her live performances are always a unique, multi-layered experience.

Houschyar Live
A musical alchemist currently based in Athens, @houschyar.m blends diverse sounds to create a sonic tapestry that is both introspective and timeless. He’s known for crafting his music with a wide array of influences, from jazz to modern electronic music. With a passion for improvisation and sound design, his live set promises to be a deeply spiritual and transcendent journey.

Socrates Antypas Live @socratesantypas is an Athens-based producer who is drawn towards music that spirals inside the shadow of the memory of a dream. pink.wav  @_pink.wav (she/her) is a Greek DJ and artist based in Athens, exploring sound as a path to shared experience and emotional depth. Her genre-blurring sets fuse bass, mesmerising vocals, intricate breaks, and seductive percussions, offering a sonic reflection of human complexity. The lineup is completed by Matter team residents: Winjer, Α.Square b2b SRJ and Andreas Palmer b2b pink.wav

meet @jorg_kuning - Jorg Kuning is a Welsh electronic producer and live performer known for his playful and inventive approach to dance music. Co-founder of the Bakk Heia label @bakk.heia.records , Kuning’s distinct sound is characterised by dubby, bleepy, bassy elements that blend minimal house with lush melodies and experimental textures.  His incredible, modular, wonky and groovy live set has been making waves for some time now in clubs and festivals all around the UK and Europe. meet @secondcousin_ - Cousin is an Australian DJ and producer known for his introspective sound that features subterranean bass pressure and rhythmic hypnotisms while summoning surreal sonic landscapes centered in spacious atmospherics. He is the creator of @_moonshoe_ Records, a label dedicated to producing delicate soundscapes inspired by abstract settings. Whether DJing a packed warehouse party or performing a mesmerizing live set, Cousin’s versatility and ability to navigate different energy levels comes from unrestrained imagination and otherworldly inspiration. @trois_quarts_taxi_system (aka Eloi Petillon) is coming from Paris for a unique LIVE set in Athens, on Friday 23rd of May, before continuing his journey to Thessaloniki. Co-founder of Hard Love Motor Love and De La ..... je l'espère, he is part of a new generation of artists who disregard genre barriers. Trois-Quarts Taxi System is a producer, live performer, sound artist and DJ who's part of a post-covid generation that fully embraces its hybrid style, freeing itself from genre assignments to create complex, hypnotic soundscapes. Dubstep, techno, electroacoustic and even dnb are just some of the valleys he flies over and mixes in search of cerebral, psychedelic and unpredictable experiences where futuristic sound design, field recording and polyrhythms combine and confront each other, his sets function as acoustic journeys into their own unexplored landscape. This special event is proudly supported by Matter and Stiff n’ Loose – a partnership between two collectives from different cities, united in their goal to bring exceptional artists in the largest urban centers of Greece.
