One of my new favorite hobbies I’ve been looking forward to this summer is horseback riding. Getting to shoot in-studio with such an incredible animal and some of my favorite people was unreal. One day a bucket list shot is to ride my motorcycle alongside one on the beach—that’s the dream. Any suggestions on where? After this weekend a much needed creative session in the studio with @luna.tarala My mind was blown with this set. Some of favorite shots ever. Amaran with the spotlight attachment mounted above and behind the model reflecting up from the Mylar on the floor with some creaive filters from prism lens fx to get the ghosting effect. Back in studio with another collaboration with the amazing designer @andregraydesigns It always amazes me the talent here in west Michigan and love to see creatives of all talents work and collaborate together. Shout out all the models who came out to showcase his newest pieces before Andre’s designs walk the runway in Detroit this week. My favorite is working with local designers so if that’s you let’s do it up! Need more Grand Rapids talent in Milan, Paris, and NY

For the creatives interested I captured these shots by using midjourney to prompt different backgrounds to then be able to project onto a white paper backdrop. I used a haze machine as well as a mist filter to soften the backdrop and blend the subject and background together. Also combined with a star filter to bring out the aputure MC light being held by the model with the bare leds facing the camera to really bring out the star effect. Had to get creative and match the colors of the lights so had a red rim light using an optical spot on one side and a blue gel beauty dish on the other. Mix in some dead roses for effect and voila.

Really wishing I was back in the Bahamas with the GC Fam. There’s not enough words to be able to describe being surrounded 24/7 by amazing people, music, sunny weather and experiences. There’s really nothing else like it. From watching one of my best friends Shannon perform after John summit to the 2am cafe conversations with Darude and every crazy experience in between. Said goodbye to two family members and a relationship in the span of a week. It has been pretty heartbreaking to say the least… I’m thankful to have the support of friends and family. Photography has always been my outlet, and diving back into creating has been therapeutic and a way to find some peace.
