This book obliterates and destroys….
The news you see in your personal feed is not reality, it is curated to keep you hooked, engaged, and in your own echo chamber. If It challenged your views or ideas, you would stop engaging with it. The system can’t have you unplugging, they have dedicated immense effort to learn strategy of how to manipulate and keep you hooked.
This book was a real eye opener of just how much we are all being manipulated by our social media and news algorithms, and worse, the influence it is having on politics, ideology, and dividing us more than ever.
Platforms discovered they get most engagement from negativity or rage bait stories. Phrases such as “watch the left get OBLITERATED by…” or “ this right wing person DESTROYS….” Will Get the most engagement. People can’t help but to comment and fight when they feel challenged or vindicated .
It’s all being orchestrated to manipulate you. To skew your preception of reality, that millions of others agree with you because your feed is flooded with the news and voices that align with your bias. You are being trained to think a specific way and to reject any opposing views, your default is to immediately get defensive , rather than listen.
This tactic is being used to influence elections, policy, and social movement . The ones who control the flow of information hold the power over the masses. It does not matter if you are left or right.
Anyways it was a very interesting listen. And i would highly recommend (the author does gets bit too preachy of his own personal views in the final chspters, but the first 3/4 of the book are fantastic )
Klaus has taken the #1 spot for my Christmas movie list. If you have not watched it yet I can’t recommend it enough. The story is perfect and leaves you with that warm inspired Christmas magic, the animation style is beautiful, the soundtrack is awesome… and it’s one of the last roles of Canadas greatest, Norm Macdonald , before he passed. Give it a watch!

Somehow the script got flipped. We have taken sides against our neighbor instead holding our leaders accountable. With a religious zeal we defend “our guy” without questioning, is it possible they are susceptible to the human condition to serve their own interests over the people?
Maintiaing our freedom means limiting the consolidation of power, whether that is government, individuals , or organizations. Once power is taken it is rarely ever given back freely.
Government was never meant to be our savior, or lord, or our master. And yet so much faith is put into a leader or a party to do just that.
It’s not left vs right. Generally we all desire safe communities for our families, freedom to live our lives, equal opportunities etc….the distraction ion
This billboard has gone up in Bowden, I can’t help but wonder if it’s a propaganda piece that is paid for by America. Creating an illusion that there are a large number of people right here at home who want this (I know there are some). Purposely trying to create division and destabilize us, getting us used to seeing these ideas.
Russia did this exact same thing in Ukraine. They infiltrated social media with fake accounts that pushed pro russian narratives, spread misinformation , deepfake videos, etc. Be vigilant moving forward about the information you see or even strangers you engage with online who are trying to distract, divide, and confuse.
I do not say this lightly….. Klause has moved up to my number 1 Christmas movie.
Claymation Rudolph still holds number 1 for nostalgia and unique characters
And muppet Christmas carol is a solid 2nd.
I realize to named 3 movies and only have 1st and 2nd place for them, that’s the magic of Christmas…
