Had a bloody wonderful Christmas. Got in shape. Ate (loads of) sushi for the first time. Drank loads of Prosecco (and beer). Lifted my niece and nephew. Did some loooooovely walks. Oh, and I got engaged to Big Haz (otherwise known as @harriet.keep ). Got loads planned for 2026, so let’s make it a goodun! ✌🏾✌🏾😘😘

This toilet selfie is me on my last EVER day of being a teacher, slightly dishevelled and drenched from playing football in the rain (and my suit). Swipe to see me in my first ever day of teacher training.
I’m not usually one for the long posts like this, but I feel like this is quite a monumental occasion and deserves a bit of chat. In the last 7ish years, I have dedicated myself to teaching and growing in the career. Although it was definitely a good move for me and fulfilled some promises I made, I definitely feel that it does not serve my life anymore. I have definitely learnt so much and met some incredible people along the way, but my health is the most important thing in life.
It is definitely a big change but I keep telling myself that my mum would fully agree with this decision if she was still around. She would want me to be happy and spend some time looking after myself for once.
So much has changed, but I really feel like I’m getting back to being me.
So yeah, goodby teaching and hello new adventures!
