Hello Matrimusers, it's Nicole! Now that it's 2026, I'd like to kick off the year by re-introducing myself and why I started this brand.
In late 2023, like many people I found myself extremely frustrated at the vendor discovery process in the wedding industry: the biggest vendor directories out there felt like a big pond with little curation or dedication to consistent high-quality vendors, and the few curated high-quality directories I did connect with almost exclusively featured six-figure weddings with luxury vendors. Not only that, but neither side prioritized financial transparency - the only place I found the quality vendors I was looking for was on Instagram, which then meant I had to spend days filling out inquiry forms just to find out if someone was in my budget or not. It was a lengthy, exhausting process for something that I felt like could be streamlined.
In 2024, when I decided to move forward with creating what I was looking for — a curated website filled only with vetted, high-quality vendors who were ok with being transparent about their price range — I discovered through my vendor interviews that the industry wasn't sunshine and rainbows on the other side either. I learned that most websites were pay-to-play, and almost extort vendors without any guarantee on a return on their investment or any community support. That's when I knew creating an ethical business for both couples and vendors was not just wanted, but needed.
Fast forward to our official launch on December 16th, 2025! I'm excited to be creating a community that is an inclusive, safe space for all couples and talented vendors who care deeply about the artistry behind a wedding day. We welcome people of all backgrounds + sex + gender orientations, and I never want there to be any doubt about that.
