Fotoğraf sanatçısı Mathilde Tijen Hansen, 12 Mayıs Salı günü saat 16:00’da MSGSÜ İstanbul Resim ve Heykel Müzesi Halil Dikmen Konferans Salonu’nda gerçekleşecek olan “Sonnenallee: Bir Caddenin Süregiden Arşivi” başlıklı konuşmasında Sonnenallee Caddesi’ne odaklanan projesini anlatacak ve Berlin’de göç, toplumsal değişim, soylulaştırma ve siyasi uzlaşıların mimariye, reklam, duvar yazıları ve portrelere nasıl yansıdığını tartışacaktır. Dört kilometre uzunluğundaki Sonnenallee’nin yıllar içinde nasıl görsel bir kayda dönüşebileceğini ele alarak Berlin ile İstanbul kentlerinde beliren ortaklık ya da farklılıkların fotoğraf aracılığıyla nasıl açığa çıkartılabileceğini tartışacaktır. Bu etkinlik, MSGSÜ Mimarlık Bölümü tarafından MIM3086 Urban Photography dersi kapsamında düzenlenmektedir. Sanatçının konuşması ve ardından dersin yürütücüsü Ela Kaçel ve MSGSÜ Fotoğraf Bölümü öğretim üyelerinden Volkan Kızıltunç ile gerçekleştireceği söyleşi İngilizce olarak yapılacaktır. Photography artist Mathilde Tijen Hansen will give a talk entitled “Sonnenallee: A Street Archive in Progress,” which will take place on Tuesday, May 12, at 4:00 p.m. in the Halil Dikmen Conference Hall at the MSGSÜ Istanbul Museum of Painting and Sculpture. She will discuss her project focusing on Sonnenallee Street and explore how migration, social change, gentrification and political negotiations in Berlin are inscribed in architecture, advertisements, graffiti, and portraits. By examining how the four-kilometer-long Sonnenallee can turn into a visual record over the years, she will also discuss how the similarities and differences emerging between the cities of Berlin and Istanbul can be revealed through photography. This event is organized by the MSGSU Department of Architecture as part of the MIM3086 Urban Photography course.
