They matched our speed, weaving in and out, coming in close like they were just as curious about us as we were about them. No sudden moves, no pressure… just a natural moment unfolding while we kept moving. You don’t plan encounters like this. Sometimes they just decide to join the ride. 🛥️ @latitude.encounters #orca #killerwhale #latitudeencounters #underwater #oceanlife

Sharing the water with makos never gets old. Raw moments, real encounters. At the same time — this isn’t a petting zoo. They’re wild, fast, and unpredictable. Respect the space and stay aware. 🛥️ @latitude.encounters #shark #mako #nature #predator #latitudeencounters

When orcas decide to approach the boat, we usually swap our telephoto lenses for our phones…they come too close. Mathias didn’t. And he captured one of the most powerful moments 🫍 A close-up of an orca, its eye looking straight back. 📸 @mathiasvanasch #orca #oceanlovers

Curious orcas sliding right up to the boat… Those moments where everything slows down and you just watch. We’ve been lucky lately — encounters like this happening more than once. Animals coming in close, on their own terms, just checking things out. Always unreal to witness. 🛥️ @latitude.encounters #ocean #orca #underwater #killerwhale #whalewatching

🚨🚨 TRIGGER WARNING 🚨🚨 Swipe if you want to see the Kingslayers at work. A pod of orca dismantling a blue shark… straight to the liver, then leaving the rest behind. Everyone loves to jump in and say “see, orca run the ocean.” Alright… if that’s your takeaway. But a group piling onto a single animal isn’t exactly a fair fight. Kings fall too… doesn’t mean they stop being kings. This is just another reminder—out here, nothing is guaranteed. No rule book. No mercy. Just moments like this. Photos sent over by my good friend @mathiasvanasch at @latitude.encounters . Guy’s always in the right place at the right time, Skillz.

Orcas kept approaching the boat… Not once. Not twice. Several times. On World Wildlife Day we experienced one of those wild ocean moments you never forget. Shared with good friends and the best crew to be at sea with🌊🖤 03.03.26 📸 @ninamoysi #Orca #ocean #crew #latitudeencounters #ninamoysi

Curious, smooth, and surprisingly calm. When you understand their behavior and stay relaxed but ready, interactions like this feel natural and controlled. There’s a big difference between how sharks are portrayed and how they actually behave in the water. Encounters like this are about respect, awareness, and good teamwork. 🛥️ @latitude.encounters #blueshark #mako #cabo #marinelife #underwater
