J’ai rencontré l’étoile sous les toits de l’Opéra Garnier en 2009 pour mon livre « Danseur ». Il avait choisi de porter le costume du ballet « Genus » de Wayne McGregor. Pour l’image, Matthias improvise une variation. Il a ce talent de transcender la chorégraphie et de faire sien le mouvement.
Ce livre marque un tournant important dans ma carrière. Après avoir exploré la danse contemporaine, je découvre le ballet de l’Opéra de Paris. Et quand le classique rencontre le contemporain, c’est magique.
Wayne McGregor est à l’affiche de l’Opéra National de Paris du 3 au 31 mai 2023 avec « The Dante Project ».

I met the star under the roofs of the Opéra Garnier in 2009 for my book « Danseur. » He had chosen to wear the costume from Wayne McGregor’s ballet « Genus. » For the image, Matthias improvises a variation. He has the talent to transcend the choreography and make the movement his own.
This book marks an important turning point in my career. After exploring contemporary dance, I encountered the ballet of the Paris Opera. And when classical meets contemporary, it’s magical.
Wayne McGregor is performing at the Opéra National de Paris from May 3rd to 31st, 2023, with « The Dante Project. »
