DUMP Carnaval Montpellier 2026
Photographier le carnaval de Montpellier, c’est comme entrer dans un cœur qui bat à ciel ouvert.
Les rues ne se remplissent pas simplement de monde, elles respirent.
Les couleurs débordent, les plumes accrochent la lumière, les percussions résonnent contre les vieilles pierres, et soudain la ville paraît plus chaude, plus douce, plus humaine.
Derrière l’objectif, je sens quelque chose basculer.
Les inconnus deviennent danseurs. Les voisins deviennent conteurs.
Les enfants courent dans des nuages de confettis comme si le bonheur était une matière que l’on pouvait toucher.
Un carnaval est plus qu’une fête, c’est un rappel.
Un rappel que la culture n’est pas une frontière, mais un pont. Que le rythme voyage plus vite que la peur.
Que lorsque les corps vibrent ensemble, les différences se fondent en harmonie.
Dans un monde qui semble souvent divisé, le carnaval crée une unité rare.
Les langues se mêlent.
Les peaux brillent sous le même soleil.
La musique transporte des fragments du Brésil, des Antilles, d’Afrique, d’Europe réunis dans une même pulsation.
À travers mon appareil,
Je capture la fierté.
Je capture l’héritage.
Je capture la force silencieuse du métissage, des cultures qui s’entrelacent, non pas pour s’opposer, mais pour s’élever ensemble.
Il y a dans l’air ce jour-là une énergie brute et généreuse.
Un bonheur collectif qui appartient à chacun.
Et peut-être que la véritable beauté du carnaval réside là :
pendant quelques heures lumineuses, nous nous souvenons de ce que signifie célébrer ensemble non pas malgré nos différences, mais grâce à elles.

Photographing Paris Fashion Week was an incredible experience, especially capturing the creations of the legendary Rick Owens. The American designer, a master of brutalist minimalism, redefines fashion with sculptural silhouettes, dramatic draping, and an architectural approach to clothing. His universe, both avant-garde and dystopian, challenges conventions and transforms elegance into something raw and experimental.
As a portrait photographer, capturing the essence of those wearing his designs was a fascinating artistic challenge. The intensity of their expressions, the power of the garments, and the atmosphere after the show all told a compelling story.
