After 8 incredible years, Materials’ parties are coming to an end.
It’s hard to put into words how much this has meant to us. Materials has been a constant in our lives ever since we were first able to go out and party - and it’s taken us further than we ever could have imagined.
From our first proper club shows back in Brighton, to launching in London, Oxford and Bristol, and selling out Bussey Building (twice), to our biggest ever club show at Village Underground, and of course our proudest achievement to date: hosting our own stage takeover at Outlook Festival this summer.
Over the years, we’ve had the honour of booking a ridiculous number of artists, spanning countless genres and celebrating every corner of the underground scenes we love. Thank you to every single one of you - for your trust, your selections, and for giving us some of the best nights of our lives.
Bringing Materials to a close in its current form is incredibly bittersweet. It marks the end of an era for us - but what an era it’s been. To everyone who’s supported us, bought a ticket, copped some merch, and hit the dance floor with full force: thank you. We’d be nothing without you.

Outlook Origins 2025
After a week of recovering from the madness that was this year’s Outlook, we’re finally ready to drop some of the clips and pics from this unforgettable milestone.
First off, a massive thank you to our lineup - it was incredible to curate a stage that we felt truly reflects our journey over the last 8 years. We covered every corner of the sounds we love, and it turned into one of the most memorable Materials parties to date.
Secondly, a huge shout out to @outlookfestival and @rishi_o_o_ for this crazy opportunity. The thought of pulling something like this off was only ever a dream, until you made it a reality. We’ll be forever grateful for that.
Lastly, a massive thank you to the Materials family - to everyone who came to dance under the sun and stars with us, and to those who couldn’t make it but were with us in spirit. Without you, we are nothing. The last 8 years dancing alongside you all has been a dream, and we truly wouldn’t have made it this far without your support.

We’re back with the legendary @alexandernut for the very first Plimsocial sunday session at @the.plimsoll 🥵
This is the second time we’ve invited Alex to the booth, rest assured he’ll be bring bringing a hot bag of wax to soundtrack your Sunday afternoon. Label boss of Eglo Records and a selector in the rawest sense, expect twist and turns that draw on influences from House, Soul, Hip Hop, Jazz, Afrobeat, Reggae and Funk, complimented beautifully by Materials resident selectors.

Music: Peverelist - Roll with the Punches
This Sunday will be the inaugural day of what we are calling Plimsocial. As well as the food and drink that makes the pub tick, we put effort into soundtracking your evenings in the boozer. Whilst we don’t label ourselves a listening bar (because it’s stupid), we’re proud of our hifi and the oddness of the wobble that wafts from the speakers.
Disgruntled by the lack of dedicated spaces for listening to good music in North London we’ll be hosting friends in the pub on the last Sunday of every month. This maiden voyage will be captained by wonkmaster @alexandernut with the help of @materials_events hot off the back of their Outlook takeover, plus resident selectors for an afternoon of music powered by the legendary @audiogold
This is a free, unticketed event as will be all future Plimsocial events. Come, drink, dance and be merry.
