Mình tìm thấy một chiếc xe dựng bên cạnh đồng muối, với một đôi dép bên dưới vào lúc buổi sáng. ở quanh đó, chiếc xe nào cũng giống chiếc xe này, mất đi nhiều bộ phận, hay được ghép nối lại nhau bằng những sợi dây nhựa, dây thép cột tay thủ công, và chiếc xe nào cũng bị rỉ sét hay bị ăn mòn nhiều, họ nói đấy là chiếc xe đặt trưng của người làm muối. Đặc biệt hơn của chiếc xe này, là cái yên của nó được độ và bọc lại bằng bao dùng để vào muối.
Đồ vật bị ảnh hưởng và lưu giữ nhiều tính chất của công việc này và điều kiện ở đây, nên mình muốn lưu giữ nó.
Sau đó mình gặp được chủ của chiếc xe, Chú Thắm, ở hợp tác xã Muối nơi chú làm, với đôi dép đã mang vào. Trên xe giờ còn vắt thêm hộp bún mắm nêm, trái thanh long, và gói mì tôm.
*Chú có hỏi mình "Con muốn gỡ mấy cái bị này ra không?".
I found a bicycle standing next to the salt fields in the morning, with a pair of sandals underneath it. Around the area, every bike looked similar, missing parts, or pieced back together with plastic ropes and steel wires, by hand. Each one was rusted, they told me it’s the typical kind of bike for salt workers. What stood out about this one was its seat, custom modified and wrapped using a salt sack.
Objects are marked and shaped by the work and the conditions here, which is why I wanted to archive it.
In the afternoon, I met the owner of the bike, Chú Thắm, at the Salt Co-op where he works, now wearing the sandals. The bike also has added onto it a box of noodles with fermented fish sauce, a dragon fruit, and a instant noodles.
*He did ask me if i wanted to remove all of those bags.
Sang, Sinh, Út collecting anchovies.
They call each other "Bổn đạo", a local term used among fishermen and people of the sea, referring to those who on the same boat, move toward the same destination and share the same livelihood.

15 days road trip through central Vietnam — crossing 4 mountain passes, sharing home meals with locals, long trips on the bike from province to province, trying strawberry smoothies in every province, abalone fishing with locals on their boats, most days having sunrise and sunset swims. Plus all the spontanous stops and encounters that led us to experience things we've never before.
