🚨 RAISE THE ALARM 🚨
This will mark my first post EVER on Instagram.
People that know me know that's kind of a big deal for me. I've never had an Instagram, I'm not a big social media person, & I'm just plain bad at putting myself out there.
But this is a new year. This is the year I change that.
When I was younger, I used to draw OBSESSIVELY. I loved drawing, loved cartoons, loved stories, loved music. I loved art in general.
But as I got older and life got busier, I drew less and less. My attempts to make music became fewer and farther between. I stopped writing. I got caught up with sports, social life, work, college...the usual.
But--also as I got older--I realized how important it was for me to participate in the art I was consuming. To give back to the community that inspired me so constantly.
The photo in this post is something I drew/digitally painted in Procreate from early last year. It's the first thing I've made in a long, long time, that I felt somewhat proud of. I named in "Whirlpool"
And--to me--it symbolizes my rebirth. It symbolizes me getting back into the game. I'm done getting trapped in the whirlpool of my own mind.
I'm ready. I'm making art, I'm making music, I'm DJ-ing for crowds. I'm ready to start sharing my perspective with the world again.
