These prints will be available for sale next weekend at the Summer Artists & Makers Market next weekend! I've had a lot of fun mounting these up over the past few days. The prints themselves are various pieces I've created over the couple of years since joining
@invdrkrm and are processed by me from viewfinder to final print.
1. 'Ghosts of Blairs' [10"X12"] features two images captured with a pinhole camera at Loch of Blairs, Moray. Each exposure was around 3 minutes long. Myself and
@bee.sirius were sat in frame for half of one exposure creating a ghostly presence.
2. 'At Rest' [10"X12"] was the first piece I submitted for exhibition so I just had to make a copy for the market. It shows a memorial shrouded by rhododendron, captured in Tomnahurich Cemetary.
3. 'Coastline' [8"X10"] is the most recently captured image of this set. Taken on the Aberdeenshire coast, it features a clifftop garden overlooking the North Sea.
4. 'A'Chailleach // Loch Droma' [5"X8"] is an image I processed some time ago and immediately fell in love with. The West Highlands in all it's splendour!
5. 'A'Chailleach // Loch Droma' [5"X4" Greetings Card], such a great image it became my first go at making a greetings card. Who would you send this to?
6. 'Pylons' [14"X6¾"] is a geometric exploration of structures I find fascinating, but which many people consider eyesores. These images are extensive crops of the original images, captured using imperfect cameras.
7. 'Plieades, Jupiter, & Comet 12P' [10"X12"] shows the night sky featuring the titular objects over a sillouetted JBL Observatory (Culloden). This image was captured by 30s exposure with an SLR camera and 50mm lens during one of
@highlands.astro "Star Parties".
8. 'Jupiter & Comet 12P' [10"X12"] is a close crop of the previous image. It removes Plieades from the frame, but gives a slightly better view of Comet 12P, which was the intended target of this shoot. The comet, if you haven't spotted it yet, is a smudge below Jupiter.
The Summer Sale will be on this coming Fri-Sun at Wasps Inverness. Look for it on the Darkroom Members table.
