It's been a while since I've been on the polo bike so it was so great to get down to the Great Scot Open in Dundee. Had the absolute joy to play on team Fennel Flower Power with these 3, and and to share the court with so many other legends. The polo ethos was out on show all weekend with good banter and sporting behaviour on and off the court. When I see teams complimenting each others efforts even as they play against them is the height of this silly sport, and there was so much of it. Huge congrats to the team behind this collaborative effort of Scottish clubs, Particularly to Donnie and Tim of @glasgow_bike_polo Jack of @stirlingbikepolo and Jonas of @edinburghbikepolo If you're in Dundee and want to start a bike polo club, we have a lead on an excellent year round all weather venue....

Le premier pique-nique français de Milo. Wee roadside picnic before the last few hours of our epic journey to visit Granny and Papi. He's done well to get this far, two days of driving, 2 days of London adventures, and today a boat and more driving.

Welcome to the world baby Milo! 🥰 It has already been one week since Milo was born (on 13th October) and we cannot have asked for a more precious baby ❤️. This passed week has been such an amazing time to get to know each other as a family and find (the start of) our new routine. We have already experienced many magical moments including Milo's first aurora! And we are looking forward to many more.

Welcome to the world Milo Armel Lafferty Harwood ❤️ Born 13th October at a healthy 4.3kg, mum and baby are now happy and healthy at home and we're all excited for this new chapter of life. Thanks to the amazing midwife, labour, and neonatal teams at Raigmore for there hard work and amazing attitudes. They kept the joy in the process even during the tougher moments.

It's been a while, I've been busy with many bikey things! With the sunrise creeping into the morning, leaves on the turn, and spooky season quickly approaching. Please join me tomorrow morning, 1st October, for some coffee (or tea) and a natter before work. Usual spot at the Workers Memorial (Huntly Street), and we'll nip under the bridge if it rains on us. I'll be there from 7:30am - 9am

These prints will be available for sale next weekend at the Summer Artists & Makers Market next weekend! I've had a lot of fun mounting these up over the past few days. The prints themselves are various pieces I've created over the couple of years since joining @invdrkrm and are processed by me from viewfinder to final print. 1. 'Ghosts of Blairs' [10"X12"] features two images captured with a pinhole camera at Loch of Blairs, Moray. Each exposure was around 3 minutes long. Myself and @bee.sirius were sat in frame for half of one exposure creating a ghostly presence. 2. 'At Rest' [10"X12"] was the first piece I submitted for exhibition so I just had to make a copy for the market. It shows a memorial shrouded by rhododendron, captured in Tomnahurich Cemetary. 3. 'Coastline' [8"X10"] is the most recently captured image of this set. Taken on the Aberdeenshire coast, it features a clifftop garden overlooking the North Sea. 4. 'A'Chailleach // Loch Droma' [5"X8"] is an image I processed some time ago and immediately fell in love with. The West Highlands in all it's splendour! 5. 'A'Chailleach // Loch Droma' [5"X4" Greetings Card], such a great image it became my first go at making a greetings card. Who would you send this to? 6. 'Pylons' [14"X6¾"] is a geometric exploration of structures I find fascinating, but which many people consider eyesores. These images are extensive crops of the original images, captured using imperfect cameras. 7. 'Plieades, Jupiter, & Comet 12P' [10"X12"] shows the night sky featuring the titular objects over a sillouetted JBL Observatory (Culloden). This image was captured by 30s exposure with an SLR camera and 50mm lens during one of @highlands.astro "Star Parties". 8. 'Jupiter & Comet 12P' [10"X12"] is a close crop of the previous image. It removes Plieades from the frame, but gives a slightly better view of Comet 12P, which was the intended target of this shoot. The comet, if you haven't spotted it yet, is a smudge below Jupiter. The Summer Sale will be on this coming Fri-Sun at Wasps Inverness. Look for it on the Darkroom Members table.

Taught myself a new skill this afternoon. Stitch binding! One of the great things about darkroom printing as a hobby is you often have wee images lying around just waiting to find it's project. This piece is a 16 page ~7x10cm notebook featuring a draft print from another project (greetings cards) that has been put aside for a while... 😅 I'm really loving exploring the variety of ways of producing art so that it can be practically useful - framed/mounted art isn't for everyone.

The @invdrkrm members exhibition is now open at Eden Court! I'm so chuffed to have work displayed alongside some amazingly talented artists as part of this annual display. A wide variety of styles and techniques are on show from both amateurs and professionals. The exhibition is hung in the public space on the first floor and is open until the end of June. (@bee.sirius isn't listed on the contributors but was a key collaborator on the Cyanotypes and Pinholes I submitted!)
