Some things in this universe cannot be killed. Annihilus has opinions about being one of them. This update will make sure enemies take that seriously. Changes go live May 15.
Here is what is changing:
Cosmic Control Rod is getting the most significant update. Previously, the Deathproof it granted only survived through the first instance of damage that triggered it. After May 15, it holds for the full turn. Multi-hit abilities, Assist attacks, and follow-up damage within the same turn all run into it now. One big hit no longer punches through.
A new mechanic is also being added: Annihilus can only lose up to 75% of his Max Health in a single turn. Combined with the updated Cosmic Control Rod, burst damage windows become significantly less effective against him.
His base stats are increasing across the board. Health and Armor each go up 15%. Damage, Focus, and Resist each go up 7.5%.
Annihilus is a Dark Dimension IX reward and is intended to be one of the most powerful characters in the game. These changes are designed to make sure he holds that position in Crucible and War.

Jeff the Land Shark is getting Awakened Abilities.
His Basic and Ultimate are earnable in his upcoming War Tower. Passive and Special will be available through limited-time offers around the same time. Here's a sample what you have to look forward to:
Basic (Just a Taste): Jeff's ability energy generation now extends to every Retcon ally on the team, not just Gwenpool. One Jeff attack starts fueling the whole squad.
Special (Sharknado): Two major additions: First, 2 negative effects on a random Gwenpool ally get flipped into positives for a reliable way to clear Silence and debilitating effects when she needs it. Second, the attack is now undodgeable.
Ultimate (Deep Dive): Jeff enters battle more charged than before. Starting at 2/5 energy instead of 1/5 means earlier access to his Ultimate in the opening rounds of a fight.
Passive (Cute Carcharodon): Two additions. On his own turn, Jeff now distributes Time Warp to a random Retcon ally adding a consistent tempo trigger on top of the existing enemy-Ultimate trigger. His on-death follow-up attack also now targets the most injured enemy in War Defense and Battleworld, rather than being limited to Supports only.

First introduced in Journey into Mystery #103 (1964) by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Skurge was powerful enough to be handed around like a tool and underestimated long enough to prove everyone wrong. It took one bridge and one decision in Walt Simonson's Thor #362 (1985) to ensure no one would forget his name.
