Someone once told me I was “not bad for a house basher.”
Funny thing is, a few years on, I run my own business, choose my jobs, work 3–4 days a week, and spend the rest of my time with my dog and my sanity intact.
I’ve learned something important along the way:
People aren’t paying for my time.
They’re paying for the outcome.
If you’re still measuring success in hours worked instead of control gained, you might be busy — but not free.
Interested to hear other people’s thoughts on day rates vs fixed outcomes.
