This one is for all those gathering in London today in support a version of England that never existed in the first place. A misremembered past is more dangerous than an uncertain future.

"On the way home from the shops" This little set was shot last May and got me thinking about the idea of just photographing what I saw on my trips back from Sainsburys. Not being able to travel to wild and exotic locations need not be a barrier to making work?

On the way home from the shops... another in my ongoing series taking photos coming home from buying food. The premise is simple. There are photographs everywhere and only over time can you create a body of work. This little series started about two years back and is slowly gaining momentum. Everything I love about photography lies within this project - it has no commercial value and it makes me see the world more clearly. Let me know your current favourite photographic adventure. Only if you want to. Thanks for looking at my instagram. It really does make this all worthwhile.

Timmendorfer Strand, Germany, 2003 Here are a few more from my day trip to the coast with a very odd camera I owned called the Bronica 645RF. The rangefinder presented a portrait frame much like some of the older 645 cameras in the 50's. I had some fun with portrait format images for a while.

Timmendorfer Strand, Germany, 2003 I had an exhibition in Germany just outside Hamburg some 20 more years back and decided to take a day trip to the Baltic seaside town of Timmendorferstrand. I will share a few images of this trip and my time in Hamburg over the next few days.... Hope you enjoy the ride.

Two shops from my book Memory Lane. I am so glad I took these photos. Both sadly went out of business before I was able to go inside. I still have copies of the book for sale. Link in my bio.

Dumped cars, Isle of Sheppey, 1999 I pulled up in my car and looked over the side of the cliff and couldn't for the life of me work out what I was looking at. The barges in the distance were submerged to keep submarines at bay during the way, the cars were just lining up to help maybe? I am pretty sure this scene is now either washed away or deep in scrub according my research on Google Earth. This image made it into my book Memory Lane. Copies available via link in bio above.

Burnt out car # 3 This one looks like it had been sitting there for quite a while after the fires had been extinguished.

Burned out car #2 This one is on the road from Sheerness to Shellness on the Isle of Sheppey - again back in the late 90's. It must have been a long walk home from this one. Unless their friends gave them a lift in another car?

Burned out car #1 Is it me or do we see less burned out cars these days? Has joyriding and torching the vehicle become less popular or am I just living more in a bubble these days. The photo I most regret NOT taking is two patrol cars burned out in the yard of the local police station literally around the corner from me. Apparently it was a disgruntled local who was clearly very unhappy about something. This particular car was in the middle of the countryside and I always wonder if they took the footpath home?
