Sharing a list of simple things in life that makes me happy.
Serves as a reminder for me (and hopefully you too), that it doesn’t take much for me to feel contented. A reminder to make time and to notice the simple things in life that we often take for granted.
Over the past few years, analyzing who I am as a person, i feel like I have always been bit of an anxious person. Afraid of this and that might turn out out wrong or not as what I intended them to be; from controlling over things that’s beyond me to the habit of rushing things, almost everything (even from the way i walk or talk, it’s like x2 speed!)
As if pressing fast forward again and again on life, I wanted to absorb everything as quickly as possible, as much as possible, wanted to be capable and dependable, in everything.
However, recently I discovered that some things can only be earned by time, and time alone. No ways to speed it up without losing its beauty.
Whenever I see people’s house with a wall full of books or vinyls records. I used to think to myself, “do they buy them in bulk? It’s like a hundred of them on the wall.” It’s a bit far fetched to think that they spend the time on one book after another, one album after another.
But then again, there’s no other way to do it other than savoring each pages & each tracks, one by one.
It’s the accumulation of time spent on each one of them that carries the real value, not merely the aesthetic aspects of having the books or the records lined up ever so neatly on the shelf.

Kata orang biasa umur 2 tahun itu lagi suka tantrum (terrible two), tapi so far anak yang satu ini tantrum nya amat minim, team always handles everything super well. Dari hiccups oprasional yang tidak bisa di pungkiri akan terjadi sesekali, to managing the vibe in store and every little (unseen behind the closed doors) thing in between.
Merry Christmas to all hooman out there, buat yang merayakan atau yang hanya kecipratan liburan. So happy to be a tiny part in big warm moments in your life like this (ini visi misi ofisial nya @scarlettscake__jkt btw 🤟🏻)
And also want to give a round of applause to all of my team for showing up today, and also other days; for always thinking about what’s good for Scarlett’s and treating this brand & family like their own children too.

Last week, we took a day off and closed our stores and central kitchen for our annual family gathering.
It was a chance to see each other not just as teammates, but as people.
The scenes above are glimpses of who we are outside of Scarlett’s, the faces you know from behind the bar making your drinks, serving your eggscones, remembering your latte order, or working quietly in the kitchen making sure your pastas and pastries are just right.
For a moment, we set aside our routines to laugh, bond, and remind ourselves why we do what we do, especially in the ever-changing world of F&B.
We went home tired, but with lighter hearts and renewed energy to keep giving our best to you.
So when you see these familiar faces in our stores, don’t hesitate to say hello—it means more than you know.

Come spend a day with her: from a slow morning at her favorite coffee shop, to hunting down ingredients for Menteng's new menu, and ending it at Blok M's kitchen.

Knowing you, doing this life journey with you, has been a kind of blessing that’s irreplaceable.
It’s been one hell of a journey, 5th birthday together, all the joyous tears (and the not joyful ones too haha!)
Through all that, i hope you keep the childlike character for at least another 10 or 30 years, let’s have a good birthday trip soon! Happy 36th birthday husband ❤️
