It is an absolute honour just to be nominated. It really does feel encouraging to be seen. As I said in the video, even if you haven’t had the chance to come see me yet, if my educational posts have made an impact or difference to your life and skin please share that through voting. @paballom__ you are an absolute darling ❤️❤️ ***Votes are R10 per vote and you can vote as many times as you want. The topic of skin lightening vs skin brightening is so broad and a bit of a sore subject for many that we touched on in this interview. Always make sure you know what your skin needs and go to a professional for advice. @channelafrica1 @marthashiloane

Many people invest heavily in skincare products but still struggle with persistent breakouts, redness, or inflammatory skin conditions. One reason is that skin health is not only influenced by what we apply topically. Research increasingly highlights the gut–skin axis — the biological communication between the gut microbiome, immune system, and the skin. When the gut barrier is disrupted or the microbiome becomes imbalanced, inflammatory signals can circulate through the body and often appear on the skin. This is why conditions such as acne, rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis are now being studied through the lens of internal inflammation and microbiome health. Topical skincare remains extremely important. But in some cases, treating the skin effectively also means considering internal factors such as microbiome balance, inflammation regulation, and barrier integrity. Clearer skin is rarely the result of a single product. It’s usually the result of the right strategy. ***PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE AND CONSULT WITH YOUR DR BEFORE TAKING ANY SUPPLEMENTS. If you’re struggling with persistent inflammatory skin concerns, it may be worth looking at the bigger picture. Save this if you found it helpful, and feel free to share your experience: Have you ever noticed changes in your skin when your digestion, stress, or lifestyle shifted? A year ago this month I took a bold decision. I resigned from my job to pursue a 10 year long dream. You have been everything I wanted and more. Everyday I thank God for the gift that is @luxeglowaesthetics_
