Very excited to tenderly announce my new show TORSO, and even more thrilled to be working with the wonderful Martha Barr as Art Director and Adelaide Marshall as Theatrical/ Dramaturgical Director. TORSO is queer love story between a body and itself. This live art performance converses with the body and its soul, delivering a tender insight into the non-binary experience, expression, and the beauty in existing where the lines overlap. Through movement, poetry, soundscape and unfolding the layers of what it means to shift shape as human entity. This performance is presented as part of Divided Culture Co’s 5:100 Exhibition Week, celebrating five years as a Creative organisation in Greater Manchester. Thank you to Connor and Divided Culture for asking me to create this beautiful piece. While Martha grapples with the raw unpredictability of clay embracing its weight, spillage, and resistance, Lula attempts to disappear inside. Lula becomes the support and disruptor, being a single force within.
