BEYOND proud and honored to have designed the splash screen for @adobe Illustraror latest release 🤩 The central theme of the project was "play," which resonated strongly with me. Play is an essential part of my creative process. My work is heavily based on hands-on experiences, freedom of exploration, discovering ideas as I’m drawing. I tried to capture this playful essence of my creative process in this illustration. The hand takes center stage, symbolizing the primary tool of creation. Behind it, you can see the same design in various color palettes, reflecting the trial and error aspect of the process, where multiple options are explored before “the one” is found. I used rough outlines to evoke the hand-drawn feel and added sparks representing the moments of inspiration. Excited to announce our latest workshop, Lettering for Posters with Marte, hosted in collaboration with our friends at Secret Riso Club 🤝 Sign up today at the link-in-bio, spots are limited! This May, join renowned visual artist Martina Galarza @marte_______ at the New York Sign Museum for an immersive 2-day workshop. Learn to create custom, expressive hand-lettering from scratch, and turn that work into a dynamic poster layout. The final poster will then be riso printed at @secret_riso_club , and we will reconvene for an evening reception to celebrate and critique our finished work as a group! 🔷 With just pens, pencils, and paper, we will transform letters into living, breathing forms. You will explore the fundamentals of hand-drawn lettering through expressive exercises inspired by music and motion. 🔶 Your final artwork will be printed at Secret Riso Club before we gather again for a poster critique. Leave the critique with a new lettering community, perspective on lettering as a powerful tool, and 10 riso-printed copies of your printed poster to trade or gift. 🔷 May 9-10th at the NYSM (critique May 20th @ 6PM) 🔶 We are happy to offer one full scholarship seat for this class, with a preference for those passionate about typography and signage who might not be able to attend due to financial constraints.
