🎞️ The Psychology of Color in Cinema
In Eyes Wide Shut and La La Land, color becomes a true emotional language. Kubrick builds a constant contrast between the warm tones of red and yellow, symbols of desire, temptation and passion, and blue, which evokes coldness, distance and spirituality. Chazelle instead uses color to follow the evolution of the Hollywood dream: blue represents imagination and ambition, yellow anticipates change, red brings the characters back to reality, while purple, born from the union of dream and reality, becomes the embodiment of love.
These are two of the films I feel most connected to, not because they romanticize life through illusion, but because they portray reality in such a raw and honest way. Through incredible dialogue and striking visuals, they manage to communicate so much without needing to explain everything. Visually, that is exactly what makes them unforgettable to me.

The 50s and 60s are one of my biggest references in my graphic work, especially in advertising.
I deeply love the aesthetics of that era: iconic, refined, yet vibrant, saturated, and full of character.
An imagery strongly influenced by Italian cinema of those years, which I feel very connected to.
For this poster, I wanted to bring all of this together, also taking inspiration from vintage Sanremo Festival graphics, to represent a dance performance based on Italian songwriting.
A small tribute to an era that continues to inspire me. ✨

From brainstorming to final creation.
Poster for the Paquita performance.
Red highlights the theme of love, while delicate, elegant lines reflect the Romantic 19th-century atmosphere.
Inspired by the ballet’s Spanish aesthetic, with a fashion sketch–inspired touch to enhance movement and style. 🌹

Another of my greatest inspirations is the visionary aesthetic of Wong Kar Wai.
From the colors to the photographic style and the shifting compositions, it reflects a condition in constant flux. A cynical reality, yet also intimate and suspended.

I’ve always felt a connection to cyberpunk.
A visionary, almost fantastical aesthetic that still holds something real within it.
Maybe that’s why it feels so close to me: I’m a dreamer, but always grounded in reality.
