“Honoring the Past and Present” by me! 🌟
One of my highlights from this year is this photoshoot. NYU holds so much diverse talent, that I argue, doesn’t get highlighted enough. I wanted to make graduation portraits a little more personalized, and thanks to a number amazing individuals, they helped me bring this project to life.
I wanted to evoke a sense of nostalgia by using traditional grad elements, such as school pride, cap and gown. I also asked students to bring items that showcases parts of their identity.
Subjects (in order of the carousel)
1. Justin Walton | Major: Recorded music | School: Tisch School of the Arts
2. Shaza Mergani | Major: Civil Engineering | School: Tandon School of Engineering
3. Papang Ruckpanich | Major: Media, Culture and Communication | School: Steinhardt School of Culture
4. Kaia Baker | Major: Integrated Design & Media | School: Tandon School of Engineering
5. Liz Lindain | Major: Media, Culture and Communication | School: Steinhardt School of Culture
6. Miles Gulley | Major: Drama | School: Tisch School of the Arts
7. Chloe Wu-Breshears | Creative Strategy and Direction | Gallatin School of Individualized Study
I couldn’t done it without the students pictured, and especially my amazing team at NYU’s Photo Bureau Department. Thank you @sirshanephoto for giving me the opportunity to pursue this creative project, @modelesque_nic for guiding and assisting with lighting, and Stephanie for giving me the courage to propose this project in the first place. Eternally grateful to have worked and learned from the best.
Judy 🤎 shot by meee 🌟
Leaning into my craft since I keep neglecting my creative side. This was Judy's first photoshoot, which is crazy because look at the way she shines in front of the camera! Always honored to be a part of someone's first photoshoot experience.

Chris and Kuka, his pet turtle, in East Harlem | March 2024
Kuka caught my attention, and I couldn't help but notice how dripped out this man was with his gold jewelry. Peep his turtle and fish rings in the 8th photo 🐢🐟
