This is Ayo Janeen Jackson, founder of Don’t B. Ashy, multidisciplinary artist, and former professional dancer. After years of touring across five continents with internationally acclaimed dance companies and performing on Broadway, she pursued an M.F.A. to deepen my creative practice.
Through research and experimentation, she discovered something powerful: that high art and healing art can be one and the same. What started as a personal ritual, blending shea body butter in her kitchen, grew into Don’t B. Ashy.
