Bathroom with a view @hotelindigokualalumpur
One of the best hotel rooms I’ve stayed in through my travels. And yes, I had my camera with me. So why did I just use my phone? I was exhausted—jet lagged, just wanting to be present for once instead of working.
This room holds a strange mirror to my journey. Almost exactly a year ago, I filmed my last video for my travel YouTube channel sitting in that same bath, inspired by another creator but honestly lost about my why. I didn’t know then that I was searching for an exit.
Now I do. I quit that channel because I want to create meaningful art that invokes emotion, that reminds people to live inspired. Looking back at these pictures, it is obvious that travel, hospitality, and wellness is my clear calling. I’m building a photography business and a photography YouTube channel around that purpose. The niche found me naturally.
And it feels effortless!
So next time I’m in a beautiful hotel room, I’ll do both: I’ll rest, and I’ll create. Here’s to shooting more spaces like this.
And if you are a foodie, there’s no place on earth I’d recommend more than Malaysia, just a melting pot of culture and flavour. Cannot wait to return!

It’s travel Tuesday. Here are some of my favourite images taken in a Vietnamese incense village in the outskirts of Hanoi. Unfortunately as stunning as these images are, this craft is not a rare encounter anymore, many photographers have been there. I even saw them in the lift at the bank I use to work for, little did I know I should have sold them as stock images!!!
As a result, I cannot pitch these to magazines but would really love to sell them as print or have them as part of a personal exhibition. Vote below if you’d be interested to grab some prints and I will find time to figure this out.
