Last night we had our 14th Queer Record Club and listened to @toriamos ’ ‘Boys for Pele’, a definite life-changer of a record for me when it came out in 1996. Sharing it with the club last night—most of whom hadn’t heard it before—was the best. Insta keeps saying hey make a reel of your highlight so here’s our history in review thus far. Yay QRC!
So @perfumegenius was so beautifully brilliant in Montréal tonight that the fire alarm went off and we had to take a mid-show evacuation break. When we were allowed back in, PG kicked off exactly where they were interrupted by the alarm. The opener said something like “their set is gorgeous and devastating” and that’s pretty much a full stop kinda review. Swoon city. 🎶
