Visually the party was inspired by my love for red anthurium flowers. They are sculptural, elegant, sensual and combine both the feminine and masculine.

A forever thank you to my mom, Miss. Sandy, who helped me prepare a Mediterranean table tasting for the party. She is the ultimate cook and party host, and I am so grateful to be her child and to take on her love of cooking.

30 years later and Showgirls continues to inspire me with its visual ecstasy: neon lights, rhinestones, sweat, glitter, and that perfect blend of glamour and grit. Camp at its finest. Drama in every frame. Iconic forever.

Friday night was a dream. I showed the @numbersdoc at @theriveroakstheatre - a place I fell in love with when I was 17 performing in midnight screenings of Rocky Horror. It was a dream come true and a full circle moment to show the film in the beautiful River Oaks theatre, a place so many of us Houstonians love so much.

Since childhood, it was a dream for me to visit the country that half of my ancestral background originated from - a part of my identity that I’ve always been very proud of. I thought a lot about my Grandmother and how much I miss her and how excited she would be that I visited Italy. Though I didn’t visit the specific areas of southern Italy that a large part of my family came from, I still got to indulge in the beauty and culture associated with this incredible place in the world - and naturally I had to live out my dolce vita fantasy by making some custom outfits for the occasion. 😜

Earlier this year my dear friends Matt and Nick got married and had an after party at Numbers, the theme being Palace of Versailles meets Studio 54 - inspired by Karl Lagerfeld’s iconic party in 1979. 🍾🎂🪩
I wanted to do something special, but the fabric I ordered was a bit of a disaster. I only had about 2 weeks before the wedding and my bestie Chantelle had about 5 yards of blue moire fabric she got from a thrift store. I absolutely love moire fabric, but blue isn’t necessarily my color (lol) and I can’t remember the last time I even wore it - but she let me have it and I fell in love with it.
So in less than two weeks I made a fully boned corset, a cartridge pleated skirt and a studded choker with a Vivienne Westwood pendant I had purchased months prior. To give it that fetish edge that I love so much, I paired it with some latex thigh highs from @anoeses.brand . Some of my favorite looks come together last minute with unexpected materials. Thanks to my girl Chantelle for giving me the fabric and saving my ass. Thanks to my sisters Robbie and Danny for getting me dressed and doing my hair. The wedding was fabulous and I’m so happy for Matt and Nick, they are an amazing couple. 💙
