“We were going through the pictures, and that picture came up—the last shot that we took of me crouched in the corner, trapped like an animal. That’s what was in my mind: I was this trapped rat, cornered, ready to fight for whatever is left on this piece of bone. That says Stay Hungry. That represents Twisted Sister. That’s the image. And, bam! That became the cover, and that just put the icing on the cake of making the band more anonymous than ever and me becoming the focal point, the front man, the face, the image, and everything else.” —
