I had a short, but sweet press trip to Minterne House, the family home of Sir Kenelm Digby, the 17th-century English philosopher, courtier, and inventor recognized as the “father of the modern wine bottle”.
He is also the namesake for the gay-owned @digbyfineenglish who hosted me and a group of wine writers for the one-night stay with activities provided by @sharkyandgeorgeevents , a wine blending trial with Digby’s head blender Trevor Clough, and a black tie dinner.
