Still one of my favorite things @suttondew and I have written. A short, called From Scratch, about a prison chef who cooks death row inmates their final meal. He has a story of his own to tell. The chef is played by the supremely talented @curtisscook who gives an intense, unsettling, yet sympathetic performance. Largely inspired by the David Means story, “The Spot.”

The Crocodile has arrived. New short written and directed by @suttondew and myself. In love with this poster by @jack_samels who is, quite literally, too good to (and for) us. Very excited about this one and so grateful for everyone we were lucky enough to get to work with. More to come soon... ❤️😭🐊🍑

Friends. This was a big one for us. First film that Sutton and I have directed together and the biggest thing we’ve done to date. Since I have nothing but time, and I’m feeling sentimental, I wrote a little bit about this one… We hope it means something when you watch it. Hope it’s funny and makes you think a little. It’s about three women and one incompetent man. In the face of the unexplainable, the women are better equipped to deal with it than he is. He just wants it to be fixed and is frustrated when there isn’t an answer. They can engage with it from a more holistic perspective. I think we’re all seeing shades of these reactions in ourselves right now. Some days we feel more equipped to grapple with the uncertain than others. And as for the the plague itself… we thought of it this way: What if technology caused a catastrophe but didn’t have the solution to it? We’re seeing that in real-time, aren’t we? In the world of the film, the dancing plague is an involuntary response to the alienation caused by modern technology, the fracturing of society, and the dissolution of the nuclear family. In the face of that, the body takes over and does what it can to ground itself. It moves involuntarily. It rejects outside stimuli. And it connects, viscerally, to the physical world around it. Our position is that the dancing plague is a symptom of very bad things but it may actually be a return to humans’ natural state. That’s a lot for a 10-minute short film to say, but it was all a part of the thought process that went into this hopefully funny, quirky little piece that plays on overly-schmaltzy old-Hollywood tropes. Link in le bio. More fawning on cast and crew in story. Fire poster by @jack_samels

Don’t ask me where I’ve been. Ask me who I’ve been there with… Recently went out to dinner with my Day Ones and had the best night. We were out to celebrate some recent financial success a couple members of the group have had and instead of talking about business or making small talk we just drank and laughed the whole night - retelling the same stories we’ve all told for years now that still haven’t gotten old. Times we got ourselves into a jam, and somehow always managed to get ourselves out of it. Nights that went from 0 to 100 real quick. Nights that probably don’t seem funny to anyone else but are hilarious to us. And yet through it all, the shenanigans and stupidity, none of us have ever lost the vision. We’ve always been there to drive each other through the tough times and support each other through the really tough times. We’ve always been each other’s biggest cheerleaders & best allies. True friends stand by each other through high T counts and low T counts. And that’s why I’m starting an exclusive online course on how to SMASH the competition and ERADICATE your self-doubt in both your personal, business, and dating lives. Link in bio for pre-registration. Get in quick because spots are filling up fast. Learn how to develop healthier, more sustainable habits, clearer and more thorough thought processes, a robust knowledge of dessert wines, and become a bonafide tax cheat. #ironsharpensiron #wolvesdontcarewhatsheepthink #seedretention
