Today, we joined community leaders, advocates, and supporters across California to announce AB 2455, a bill introduced by Assemblymember Matt Haney to establish an official Bruce Lee Day in California on May 17, the date Bruce Lee first returned to the United States from Hong Kong. Bruce Lee’s impact extended far beyond martial arts. He changed how Asian Americans were seen in culture, film, and public life, while inspiring generations through discipline, confidence, and self expression. The day also included a special youth conversation and visit to Chinese Hospital in San Francisco, where Bruce Lee was born in 1940, reminding us how deeply his story is connected to this city and community. Honored to stand alongside Shannon Lee and so many members of the community working to help carry that legacy forward. Recognition matters. What we choose to officially honor says something about who we are and what stories we value. Thank you to everyone who helped make this moment possible.

Gold Gala 2026. A reminder of how far the Asian Pacific community has come across film, business, technology, sports, fashion, and culture. Good seeing so many founders, artists, community leaders, and friends all in one place. We are here for each other. Thank you @goldhouseco for bringing everyone together for an incredible night. Happy Asian Pacific American Heritage Month!

Not every name lasts 500 years. Nguyễn Quốc Trinh. A scholar who passed the highest imperial examinations, his name carved into stone at the Temple of Literature in Hanoi. Julie’s ancestor. From this courtyard to her return with her mother. Not a visit. A return. #Vietnam #Hanoi #FamilyHistory

Honored to receive this limited edition Year of the Horse football from the @NFL . Designed by Shanghai-based artist Cao Yun, who we hosted in San Francisco during Super Bowl week. Appreciate the support as we continue building meaningful partnerships across Chinatown and the broader community, following the Chinatown Lunar New Year Big Game Block Party. More to come.

“Asian prom.” Every year at the Unforgettable Gala I end up running into friends from so many different chapters of life. It’s one of the rare nights where everyone simply shows up to support each other. UNFO has always felt a little different from other big galas. Maybe it’s the homegrown roots. Even as it has grown into something much bigger, the energy remains grounded. That’s what makes this night special. Congrats to all the award winners and everyone who helped make the 2026 Unforgettable Gala such a memorable night.
