After years of waiting for someone to give me the opportunity and trust me with million dollar budgets, I took things into my own hands, got strategic, wrote a screenplay, built an incredible team, and we made it happen together.
Forever indebted to everyone who helped bring this to life. Y’all showed up, showed out, (cut me a deal 🙏🏼), and really believed in this wild and crazy concept. I could never thank you enough… but I will try!
This wasn’t just about me writing/directing my first feature, it’s about giving yourself permission to go after your dreams. Even when there are roadblocks or setbacks, with the Internet and technology, so much is possible these days. Go after it!

Sooo… to make a long story short…
Mark moved to LA when I was in high school
I graduate, go to beauty school, open a salon with our parents + sister
He’s acting, writing music, chasing his dreams across the country
He invents a product that ended up not working out
Lost everything
That led him to accidentally starting a digital agency from nothing but his phone
We start teaching small social media classes here + there when he was in town
Our family business success leads to opening a second location
Marks running his successful agency + writing + working on films in California
I’m running 2 salons in Michigan
We realize that other people could learn from our success and failures
I ask him to start a business with me
He says yes
Fast forward, he has an incredible full service digital agency in Hollywood, I just sold both of my salons.
And together we travel all over teaching hairdressers how to maximize their business, use Ai + social media properly, elevate their mindset + prioritize their personal wellbeing so they can hold the amount of success they want to achieve✨
The last 20 years have been quite the ride. And the last few years of building Mastermynd Beauty w/ him have made me realize that 17 years in salon ownership experience was what I needed to build this🫶🏼
