Limitless is a landmark exhibition series that invites APA artists to undertake ambitious commissions on a significant scale. Launched with two inaugural bodies of work, the series establishes a framework for immersive, long-form creative development, building momentum toward new possibilities and opportunities. It affirms APAโs commitment to seeing neurodivergent artists and artists with intellectual disabilities central to the national and international arts landscape โ visible, valued, and flourishing in their practice.โจ
The initiative builds upon APAโs longstanding foundation โ one that has consistently supported experimentation and artistic growth. It foregrounds risk-taking, collaboration, and innovation, and fosters both individual and collective development. In doing so, it offers artists the opportunity to expand their practice and explore new directions in their work.โจ
As the first exhibition in the Limitless series, Embodied signals a focus on artistic rigour and experimental, process-driven practice. Featuring major new commissions by Mark Smith (
@marksmithagain ) and Bronwyn Hack (
@bron_drawing_pencil ), the exhibition frames the body as both subject and metaphor, inviting expansive and deeply personal interpretations.โจ
