Mallorca 2026 🚴☀️
One week of road cycling in beautiful, sunny Mallorca.
This trip has been the perfect kick off to my bike season, but this time was special. My first time experiencing it with my @bowheadcorp RX.
The start wasn’t exactly smooth. Just a week before I was down with a bladder infection and high fever. Thanks to plenty of rest and the right antibiotics I recovered quickly and regained the energy for some amazing rides.
What a week it turned out to be! I’m honestly blown away by how much of the island I was able to explore with my Bowhead RX. Nearly 35 hours on the bike, over 10,500 meters of elevation, and close to 750 km covered.
Since I couldn’t fly with my lithium batteries and I couldn’t find suitable ones to rent on the island, I decided to travel by car instead. Around 24 hours on the road, but every single minute was worth it for the freedom and opportunities I had with my setup.
Mallorca never disappoints. Already looking forward to the next ride, but maybe a bit more off the road than on the road.

2025 was a year of many firsts.
I had tried many things before my SCI accident in 2023. Since using a wheelchair, everything feels new again and I am learning from a completely different perspective.
First time cross-country skiing thx to @paraplegikervereinigung
First time bikepacking.
First adaptive MTB race thx to @enduro_tirol and straight to 2nd place.
First time traveling with my Bowhead RX and going all the way to the other side of the world to Australia and New Zealand.
First time camping in a rooftop tent.
First time kayaking @franzjoseftours .
First time exploring a cave.
All of this was only possible because I set goals that initially felt almost impossible and because I had the support of my very patient partner @capi.tanja and many amazing friends who helped turn those ideas into reality.
I am really looking forward to 2026 and to many more ambitious and slightly crazy goals.
New Zealand 🇳🇿 is famous for its dreamy campgrounds tucked right into nature. So I figured, why not go all in and rent a 4x4 to chase quiet corners and wild landscapes and sleep in a rooftop tent?
Is it easy getting in and out of that tent as a wheelchair user?
Not exactly. But where there’s a will, there’s always a way.

Another awesome Gravel Ride & Race Bern @ridegravel.ch packed with spectators and an incredible atmosphere!
The course was super well designed and took us through stunning scenery though, being a race, I didn’t get to enjoy much of it while grinding through the effort.
Pushing hard until the very end paid off. I managed to take the 2nd fastest time of all adaptiv riders, just 34 seconds behind Ramon Stauber (@__rs81__ ).
Such an amazing feeling battling for a top spot in a field full of gravel bikes and adaptive MTBs.

My very first Adaptive MTB race and I’m beyond stoked to take 2nd place 🥈
Stage 1 got wild with a flat rear tire, but I managed to push it to the finish on the rim. On the following stages I stayed crash free, and by plugging the hole and pumping up the tire before each start, I managed to finish just 12 seconds off the win.
Big thanks to everyone who made it possible, especially for the borrowed fullface helmet, without it I couldn’t have raced. Better to look like a Jerry than not be able to start. Just pure fun and already hungry for the next one! 🤘🚵♂️”**

What a week in Mallorca!
Spent in a dreamy villa with sunshine, good vibes, and even better friends. We hit the roads hard – I did round 350 km and 3,900 meters of climbing on the handbike. Thanks to the legs of my friends, I made it up climbs that wouldn’t be possible for me like a champ or at least I looked like one from behind.
Who needs a motor when you’ve got strong friends that pull you.
Already dreaming of the next one.

Just tried cross-country skiing as a new sport, and it was an amazing experience! The weather truly showed its best side, making the adventure even more memorable. After covering around 30km, I’m definitely going to feel it in my upper body over the next few days—but I’d do it all over again!
