My NU varsity letterman jacket arrived - 44 years late!
I was Captain of the Cheerleaders at Northwestern University in 1982. I was due to receive my varsity letter and jacket at our season end dinner but the new Athletic Director instead informed us that cheerleaders were no longer considered varsity athletes. I was heartbroken and angry for years, truly. Eventually, we were reinstated as varsity athletes, but never received our proper swag. Two days ago I happened to look online and found this varsity jacket from 1982, brand new, looking like it had never been worn. So, I’m assuming this is the one they originally had prepared for me, but it was never delivered. 🤪Today I wear it proudly and my inner child is smiling. 😁 I can’t tell explain how giddy I feel. @northwesternalumni@northwesterntheatre@nu_cheerleading

Celebrating SWEET CHARITY’s Cr anniversary. I was an original member of the national tour starring Donna McKechnie. It was Bob’s last show. He died on our opening night in Washington DC.
