⚡️The Numero Uno Ep is LIVE! ⚡️
The process of making this has been intense, exciting, anxiety ridden, humbling and so much more. But amongst all of that, I was so fortunate to have a sensational bunch of extremely talented people come in and play on my songs. Some I reached out to without ever having met, others I’ve known for years, no matter who and from what capacity I am so grateful to each of them for being willing to jump on board to work, record or collaborate.
This has been by far the most fulfilling music I have made, and a huge learning exercise too - I was so excited to work with some elements I’d never had the opportunity to put into my songs before, and even though I had ideas in my head, I found it difficult to articulate those in some instances, which felt super overwhelming. Eventually I realised that I just needed to have a little faith in the musicianship of those collaborating, and the results were incredible.
I look forward to doing a lot more of this not too far down the line, but in the meantime though, if you care to listen I hope you enjoy this little bunch of songs. I hope you’re able to feel something - even something small while you’re listening to them and then you are able to take that feeling away with you for a little while ✨✨
What a wild ride! Thanks for the support, my loves, it means the world. Hopefully see you at a show soon! Come say hi x

Recording day 1, we have drums and bass tracked! What a blast! Thank you, thank you’s: @joshlarkindrums who is now my fave drummer, and for turning up so prepared and absolutely smashing the brief. @marcuswk for bringing exactly what l’d hoped for after years playing together. And the boss of sound @markperry_audio for twiddling and turning and bringing things to life. Me? I didn’t do much, except mostly boss people around and look pretty, but I’m thrilled with everyone’s contributions to these songs so far!! I’m so excited to work with some other wonderful folks I have tee’d up for the coming weeks! Yay, how good is music!!?? 💕 #emmyhourisnumerouno
Late last year @regionalsband hit me up to record their album they had recently tracked. I said yes, they accepted that I really like reverb and we went from there. The other day it came out and on my birthday I found a surprise in my parcel locker, which was this lovely surprise. Thanks guys! @mischief_club_ takes better photos and did this one for me today with redbull can to capture my vibe accurately. Go buy one of their records and go to the launch show if you're in Sydney.
I have been relatively quiet on the recording front lately, working on a few albums that have taken 1+ years and a lot of mixing for a client who has 6 albums on the go at once, but I am looking to ramp back up on working with bands. I've got a bit of time over the next few months if your keen get in touch, I am keen for anything, full albums, demo's, drum tracking, mixing tracks you've recorded at home/elsewhere or even critical listening of mixes to give notes etc. Hit me up!
Way back in the empire days I produced "Pre-Written" for my mate Ben.
This was quite and epic production so many guest MCs came along. Ben gave some pretty solid support to a lot of great underground artists on this record. Also @mc_triks features on a song or two and is a total beast.
Terra Mater -Holocene Extinction Parts I & II.
This record was a bit different, 2 songs only recorded one year apart, but the songs are pushing 20 minutes long so really, more than 2 songs. Stadium Crust featuring so many Brisbane veterans. I had know most of the band for 17 years or so before we recorded this. Lifers.
Hopefully the members continue their D-Beat odyssey in other bands.

Bit of a throw waaay back to 2012 when I was first running a studio as a business full time. Vile Eye were a short lived mosh band stacked with lots experience and skill. Probably the best mosh band Queensland ever had, but they forgot to gig or stay a band. Featuring members if The War, Time Has Come, A Secret Death etc.
Deadweight Express - Life Train
2 piece heavy blues, recorded and mixed at The Shed. Recorded live, 3 amps at once, switching tones per song, big riffs.
