A story about Richmond, ultimately. When mark was setting up his studio he bought an akai rack-mount sampler from Bobby. I was hanging out at Bobby’s when mark came to pick it up. He hadn’t really processed that he’d need an external controller for it. I said I had an old Yamaha keyboard with midi he could use. He said how much? I said you can have it- just give me a copy of the record you make. I moved out of town, mark had his accident thousands of other things happened-but one day when I was in town, pen gave me this record. Mark had dropped it off at the record store I used to work at and it sat on bob’s desk for a few years and then he passed it on to pen to give to me whenever he saw me next. The care and patience and love throughout are immeasurable. Mark and Bob are gone now-but care and love are not

Also- can’t help but remember the last few years seeing posts from big ears and feeling a little depressed and left out. If you’re a band or artist feeling that way-I feel you and I care. Your work is beautiful and valid and you deserve attention.
