Our film of La Boheme is hitting a few select cinemas from 3rd March. Very excited (and a bit terrified) to finally get to see what happens when you shove a load of opera singers in front of a camera. Eep!
Mark Nathan performs Schaunard in a film version of La bohème, written and directed by Olivier Award-winner, Robin Norton-Hale.
Produced for the screen by Finite Films & TV, this adaptation of Puccini's much loved classic originated with OperaUpClose, whose acclaimed stage production won Best New Opera Production at the 2011 Olivier Awards.
The film will be shown in selected cinemas from 3 March 2026.

Mark Nathan makes his debut at Opera North as Banana in Pass the Spoon, a sort-of opera, opening this evening at the Howard Assembly Room for a limited run of 10 performances.
Step inside the daytime cookery show that’s gone fully, gloriously rogue. Expect surreal humour, unhinged ingredients and a delicious dose of existential dread – think The Mighty Boosh meets The League of Gentlemen.
